SAVANDURGA
Savandurga considered to be among the largest monolith( a large single upright block of stone ) hills in Asia and 1227m above from the Sea level. It is Only 60 kms from Bangalore.
Activities:
Sunrise:
If it is not the best place to see the Sunrise, still you can get a great view.
Trekking:
Trekking is best thing one can do here, you can climb the hill and summit at the Nandi temple.
Few things you should remember:
I would recommend not to go for trekking on a rainy day as it is slippery which makes trekking risky.
Carry you water bottles which you will definitely need in between your trekking and you won't find anything to drink or eat except the base station.
Do not destroy the the nature's beauty by doing any filthy activity.
How to Reach:
I would suggest to go by a bike trip and start early in the morning so you can see sunrise and you will have a treat when mysore road begins, it is truly a heaven feeling for bikers.
