Hello, everyone! I hope you are all doing well and staying safe. Today, I have some great news to share with you. The Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, has announced an extra public holiday and a toll fee waiver for Aidilfitri! 🎉
This means that we will have more time to celebrate with our loved ones and enjoy the festive season without worrying about the traffic or the toll fees. Isn’t that wonderful? 😍
According to the PM, if the first of Syawal falls on Friday, April 21, the additional public holiday will fall on Monday, April 24. If the first day of Hari Raya falls on Saturday, April 22, the extra public holiday will be on Friday, April 2112. This will give us a long weekend to visit our relatives and friends, or just relax at home.
The PM also announced that the government will waive toll fees nationwide between April 19-21 and 24 in conjunction with the festive season12. This will ease the burden of the people who are travelling back to their hometowns or visiting other places. It will also encourage more people to use the highways and reduce congestion on other roads.
I think this is a very generous and thoughtful gesture from the government. It shows that they care about our happiness and well-being. It also reflects the spirit of Aidilfitri, which is about forgiveness, gratitude, and generosity.
