Aalankrita Resort - An escape to Nature

Updated: Aug 2, 2020

Another weekend was arriving and we were still out of any plans. As we reside in Hyderabad, we always had this excuse of not having many options for weekend gateways as in Bangalore or Mumbai and always made a way to laze around at home watching TV or Binge-watching same boring series for the umpteenth time.

We both love to travel and explore new places but by now we have become so comfortable in laying around at home out of laziness.

But on our last trip to Chennai-Mahabalipuram-Pondicherry (i'll pen down everything about it soon), we enjoyed a lot and our lost love for travelling was found again... then we decided that we are not going to laze around anymore, and we are going to bring the most of our weekends by exploring the hidden beautiful places around Hyderabad.

So coming to our last weekend, It was a last minute plan. Initially, we were pretty confused between Ananthgiri hills or a day outing experience at a resort or a theme park. Finally we decided to go for day outing to a resort on the outskirts of Hyderabad - Aalankrita Resort And Convention.

It was a complete day package from 11 am to 5 pm which included welcome drink, lunch and high tea. We bought the package from Cleartrip on a good discount. One can also buy the package from the resort itself or other online services like Bookmyshow or Nearbuy.

The Resort is in Shamirpet which is around 40 km from our home at Kondapur, which takes around 1 to 1.5 hrs to reach. We started our trip on our Avenger around 9.30 in the morning, The route we took was Miyapur-Bachupally-Kompally-Pothaipally-Shamirpet. The route was beautiful, The roads were bumpy but with the beautiful jungles and farms on the sides,It turned out to be enjoyable. The weather seems to be on our side as the sun was no where around dominated by the huge dark clouds, which made the trip a very pleasant one!

We reached there around 11 am as planned, headed to the parking area and found out that it was very crowded as there were 2 weddings happening on that day... after struggling for around 15 minutes,we finally managed to find a parking place!!

But on the brighter side, because of the weddings the place was decorated beautifully!!

Look for yourself :)

The Resort's Entrance:

The Prakrula Restuarant - Entrance

We went to the reception to redeem our coupons and check out our day plan. They en routed us to the counter in one of their restaurants - Prakrula, where we were welcomed by cold drinks,Non alcoholic it was!!!

The restaurant is decorated really beautiful. The cute black dining tables are very well complimented with the open tent style decor with wine colored curtains!!

Next to the restaurant, there is a well with a statue of Buddha with a lot of green plants all around. his makes the view really refreshing. The whole resort is filled with so much greenery that every inch of it refreshes you.

Then we headed towards the play area, which is the place to have some fun. There are basically 3 sections; An Indoor Gaming Arcade, An Outdoor sports area and A Water & Amusement Park.

The Outdoor games area has badminton , Beach Volleyball, Basket ball, Badminton Court, Cricket Ground, Beach Volleyball, Throw Ball, Tennikoit, A children play area and A refreshment area.

The Indoor gaming Arcade houses the Foosball, Carrom, Table tennis, Pool, English Billiards, French Billiards, Console games like Playstation 2, Playstation 3, X-Box, Wii etc.

Timings: Days of the Week: All days 9:00 AM - 10:00 PM

They charge extra for the indoor games if it is not included in your package. We played foosball, TT, badminton, Billiards, Volleyball, Basketball there. By the time it was 2, we were starving already.

So, we decided to come back after coming from lunch. our next stop was the Restaurant AASHNA, where we had our delicious buffet lunch. The Interior is beautifully designed. and the food was very tasty.

The buffet spread was huge, really much more than what we expected. Starting from the delicious starters to the mouthwatering desserts, everything was upto the mark. we ate like monsters. They even had Panipuris in the menu!!

The food was very well complemented by the live music (Bollywood, totally loved it!!).

After the lunch, we were so full that we dropped the idea of going back to the play area out of laziness. we decided to go for a tour of the resort Instead. and it was totally worth it!!

Everything in the resort is so full of greenery and earthly is we couldn't take our eyes of them. There is a mandap called Shubhamastu in the middle of the resort which has beautifully carved stones. This is where the Hindu weddings happen here,I guess. I have to say, the view is quite mesmerizing.

There was a few of weddings happening there. and the wedding decorations added more beauty to the already breathtaking views of the resort. One of the wedding ceremony had this Mint plus pink colored decor, simple but elegant. We loved that!!

By the time we finished our tour of the resort, It was already 5 pm. we wanted to be back to home before it's too dark. so finally we started to head back from there. It was a really great experience for us. I would suggest you to pay a visit to there if you want a day away from the hustles of the city!!

Before i finish this story, Here are few pictures of our amazing day at the resort - AALANKRITA.

Thank you so much for making it till here!! :)
